Materuni Waterfall & Coffee Tour

You will be picked up early from Moshi or nearby accommodations and driven to Materuni village on the lush slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. The tour begins with a guided walk through traditional coffee plantations, where visitors learn about the Chagga community’s coffee-growing techniques, harvesting, roasting, and brewing processes. Guests have the opportunity to taste freshly brewed coffee prepared in the traditional style.

After the coffee experience, the journey continues with a scenic hike along forest trails, crossing streams and enjoying views of the surrounding landscape, until reaching the impressive Materuni Waterfall. Visitors can relax, take photographs, and swim in the natural pools at the base of the waterfall, enjoying the tranquil atmosphere.

Following time at the waterfall, the group returns along the same trail to Materuni village, where lunch can be enjoyed either as a traditional meal with the local community or as a packed lunch, depending on the arrangement. After lunch, guests are transferred back to Moshi or their accommodations, concluding the tour in the early afternoon.
