Route Description

The 7 Days Rongai Route is one of the most scenic and less crowded ways to climb Mount Kilimanjaro. Approaching the mountain from the remote northern side near the Kenyan border, this route offers a quieter trekking experience with wide-open landscapes, alpine wilderness, and excellent acclimatization.

Unlike other routes, Rongai is known for its gentle gradients, making it a great option for trekkers who prefer a gradual ascent. The descent follows the Marangu Route, allowing climbers to experience different sides of the mountain. With an extra acclimatization day, this itinerary provides a strong balance between comfort and summit success.
